    ISCA vs Sunfish: What's the Difference?

    The ISCA is based on the classic Sunfish, but going forwards, only the ISCA is legal to race under International Sunfish Class Association (ISCA) rules. If you're looking to purchase a new boat to race in International Sunfish Class Association events, you will need an ISCA. Older (pre-2025) Sunfish and new ISCA's with the World Sailing / ISAF plaques will be accepted at all levels of racing. If you're purchasing a new boat with the intent to race in ISCA events, then the ISCA is the proper choice going forwards.
