Tie Down Straps

These heavy duty tie down straps are perfect for securing your kayak, sailboat, or SUP on the roof or trailer for safe transport down the road. We use these straps ourselves and recommend them over ratcheting style straps because there is less risk of over tightening them and causing damage.

We recommend 12' straps for most kayaks & paddleboards and 15' straps for sailboats like Optimists, Lasers, Sunfish, etc.

Sold as a pair in either 12' or 15' lengths.

Pro Tip: After tightening the strap, use the tail to tie a hitch around the section that leads into the buckle. Snug this hitch right up to the buckle. This knot will act as a preventer, in the event the strap loosens from the buckle the knot will constrict and hold the strap in place.
