The Thule DockGlide 896 kayak carrier is flexible with felt-lined rear saddles that make it easer to load and unload. Paddlers load and unload their kayak from the rear of the car, making it so that they only need to handle half the kayak's total weight at a time. Simply place the bow on the rear of the vehicle and walk the stern forwards while sliding on the rear felt pads.
